Can a safe or fire-resistant cabinet be glued?

Some modern adhesives have very high tensile strength, but they are not suitable for securely anchoring a safe or fire-resistant cabinet. In practice, such fixings can often be pried loose relatively easily. The strength depends not only on the adhesive itself, but above all on the substrate to which it is applied. On plastered walls, the plaster layer may come off; on wood, the board may split; on tiles, the tile may detach; and often the paint layer of the safe itself comes loose.

Gluing also has drawbacks when a safe needs to be replaced or moved: removing it almost always causes damage to both the safe and the surrounding area.

So while gluing may seem like a quick and easy way to secure a safe, in most cases it is insufficient and creates a false sense of security. For a reliable and durable solution, anchoring with chemical anchors remains the best choice. When drilling is not possible due to specific circumstances, we apply alternative techniques.
