What is the difference between the Chubbsafes DuoForce T2 and the TriForce T2?

The Chubbsafes DuoForce T2 and the Chubbsafes TriForce T2 are constructively related: both are certified by ECB·S to EN 1143-1:2019 T2 in Grades 4, 5 and 6, and both offer 60 minutes of fire protection for paper (NT Fire 017 – 60 Paper). Their names reveal the difference: the DuoForce protects against two risks — burglary and fire — while the TriForce adds a third: explosives.

The TriForce T2 is additionally tested and certified to the EX option of EN 1143-1: a charge of solid explosive is detonated inside the safe, and the door must remain locked. Its specifically reinforced boltwork makes that possible.

The choice is therefore simple: for most professional applications with high values, the DuoForce T2 suffices. If the risk profile is at the very highest level — banking, cash handling, critical infrastructure — or if your insurer requires explosive resistance, the TriForce T2 is the safe of choice.
