What is a Grade 3 safe?

EN 1143-1 Grade 3 is a European certification for the burglary resistance of safes for applications with a medium-high risk profile. From Grade 3 onwards we are talking about a genuine safe — the first grade offering resistance against the full spectrum of attack methods, including thermal tools. Grade 3 is our most popular grade, chosen by private individuals, businesses and public institutions alike.

Burglary resistance is expressed in Resistance Units (RU): Grade 3 requires 80 RU for partial access and 120 RU for full access.

The indicative insurable value is €45,000 in cash or €90,000 in valuables — based on storage in an unattended and unsecured building. Cash and valuables may not be combined.
