Asecos ION-CORE 90 – Safety Cabinet for Passive Battery Storage
The Asecos ION-CORE 90 is a reliable safety cabinet designed for the passive storage of lithium-ion batteries in work environments. The cabinet provides 90 minutes of fire resistance from both inside and outside, tested according to EN 14470-1 and EN 1363-1 standards.
Insulated shelves reduce the risk of fire spread between individual batteries in the event of an incident. An integrated smoke detection system with potential-free contacts ensures early warning and can transmit alarm signals to a monitoring station – even in unattended areas. Optionally, a telecommunication module is available to forward alarm notifications to mobile phones.
The two-point locking system keeps the doors securely closed in case of fire or explosion pressure. Designed for everyday practicality, both doors can be opened with one hand, and the integrated transport base allows the cabinet to be easily relocated or evacuated within the building.
Note: The ION-CORE 90 is not certified according to VDMA 24994. This cabinet is recommended for the passive storage of lithium-ion batteries.
