Safe storage of hazardous products and batteries
Unlike safes or fireproof cabinets, these safety cabinets are not designed to protect their contents from external threats, but to protect the surroundings from the risks posed by the contents themselves. They contain fire, heat, vapours and gases — so that flammable products or batteries pose no danger to people, buildings or the environment.
The range is divided into two product lines, each with its own standard and test method:
- Fire-resistant chemical safety cabinets to EN 14470-1, for the storage of flammable liquids, solvents and chemicals. Fire resistance up to 90 minutes, with automatic door closure, ventilation connection and spill tray.
- Safety cabinets for batteries to VDMA 24994, specifically designed for lithium-ion batteries — passive storage and active charging — with protection against thermal runaway, gas release and explosion pressure.
Both types are certified and suited to laboratories, workshops, production environments and technical rooms.
