Asecos SL-LINE – Cabinet for acids and alkalis with two separate compartments
Acids and alkalis react violently with each other and should therefore be stored separately. The Asecos SL-LINE has two hermetically separated compartments for this, with a vertical or horizontal dividing wall. An integrated ventilation system with metal-free, corrosion-resistant air ducts removes the vapours. The cabinet is designed for aggressive, non-flammable hazardous substances and is not fire-resistant.
The body is powder-coated sheet steel; the interior is melamine resin and flame-retardant special panels that resist corrosive vapours. The cabinet is GS certified and compliant with EN 16121 and EN 16122. The door locks with a cylinder lock. For hydrofluoric acid, a storage box with a polypropylene sump is available as an option.
The SL-LINE comes as a tall cabinet in two widths and as an under-bench cabinet in three widths, which fits under a fume cupboard and adjusts in height to the lab furniture with add-on panels. Inside, you choose pull-out shelves, PE trays (33 litres) or bottom sumps (68 litres) for large containers. Optionally, the cabinet gets metal cladding or castors with plinth.
Which substances must not be stored together and how to separate acids and alkalis is explained in our guide to the storage of hazardous substances.
