Vault rooms

Certified strongrooms, modular vault rooms and vault doors according to EN 1143-1

A strongroom or vault room is a reinforced secure space equipped with a certified vault door, designed for the safe storage of large volumes of valuable items. The traditional version consists of a room built with reinforced concrete walls, into which a vault door is integrated. The thickness, reinforcement and construction of the walls are determined by the required security level and resistance grade.

An interesting alternative to the traditional concrete construction is the prefabricated or modular strongroom. This type of vault room is built from interlocking armoured panels that are fixed from the inside. Prefabricated strongrooms offer several practical advantages: they are significantly lighter than conventional concrete rooms, allow for faster and easier installation, including in existing buildings, and use thinner walls, which helps preserve valuable interior space.

Our range includes certified vault doors and strongrooms from grade 0 up to grade XIII KB according to EN 1143-1. Kaso also manufactures special fire-resistant strongrooms, designed for the protected storage of archives, works of art, paintings, sensitive documents and other valuable items.

Upon request, vault doors can be equipped with an internal opening mechanism, allowing the strongroom to also function as a panic room or secure refuge area.
