Robur DD – Deposit safe with integrated drum

The Robur DD is a robust deposit safe with an integrated drum, designed for situations requiring safe and efficient depositing of values. The deposit drum is fully integrated into the safe structure and therefore offers the same resistance as the body and door — depositing through the drum is always secure, even without additional locking.

By combining a full safe compartment with a deposit drum in a single unit, the Robur DD serves as a combination safe: the compartment holds cash registers, change and documents, while staff skim off takings through the drum without access to the contents. One unit does the job where two stacked safes would otherwise be needed.

These models are based on tested Grade 2 or 3 safes. The standard versions (II 55 and II 70) are built on Grade 2; a Grade 3-based version is available on request. The door and body are multi-walled and filled with a special composite that protects against mechanical and thermal attacks. The door is locked on four sides: solid steel bolts on three sides and a hook profile on the hinge side, complemented by a passive blocking system.

The lock and boltwork are fitted with additional armour plating. Equipped as standard with a double-bitted key lock, but various other lock options are possible, including electronic or mechanical combination locks, or a combination of two locks.

Frequently asked questions

The deposit drawer is the most common type. Keep in mind: on most drawer models, such as the Chubbsafes ProGuard DT and the Salvus Tivoli, the drawer must be locked after each deposit. An open drawer is not armoured and can be forced or removed. The exceptions are our drawer models from Kaso and Robur: they remain secure even without locking. Under intensive use, a drawer also wears faster than a drum.

A drum, as on the Fichet-Bauche DFX, is always secure — no locking required. Drum models are therefore the best choice for frequent deposits and larger volumes.

Drawer models, in turn, offer more installation options. They are easier to fit through a wall; Robur even offers models with the drawer protruding at the side or rear. Another advantage: a second safe is easily mounted on top of a drawer model. This gives you a combination safe — a regular safe on top for cash registers and change, with the deposit safe below for skimming off takings. Want that combination with a drum? Then the Robur DD is the way to go: a robust safe with an integrated drum in a single unit — which is exactly why it's one of our most popular deposit safes.
