A data safe protects digital media such as hard drives, USB sticks and backup tapes against fire. They tolerate far less heat and humidity than paper, which is why there are separate test classes for data, such as S 60 DIS and S 120 DIS. A cabinet tested for paper only therefore does not protect data sufficiently. See our fire resistant cabinets and data safes or read more about the fire resistance classes and test methods.
