Sistec S datasafe – Fire-resistant cabinet and data safe for digital media (S120DIS)
The Sistec S data safe or datasafe is a professional fire-resistant cabinet for the secure storage of digital data carriers such as external hard drives, backup drives, LTO tapes, USB drives, memory cards, optical media and digital archives. Unlike a conventional fire-resistant safe, which is mainly designed to protect paper documents, a data safe is specifically developed to protect sensitive digital media against the most critical risks during a fire: high temperatures, smoke gases, extinguishing water, humidity and condensation. Digital data carriers can be damaged at relatively low temperatures, which makes a standard fire-resistant cabinet insufficient for protecting essential business data.
The Sistec S is developed for maximum fire-resistant data protection and is tested according to EN 1047-1 S120DIS ECB-S for the protection of digital information carriers in the event of fire. The S120DIS class is the highest fire-resistance class for digital media and represents 120 minutes of certified protection during a severe fire test.
