Atelier Boonen takes care of the delivery, installation and anchoring of safes entirely in-house. We never use external transporters or installers. Using specialised transport equipment, we deliver discreetly and safely, including to upper floors or hard-to-reach locations. Safes are always wrapped in opaque film and transported in unmarked vehicles to avoid curious eyes.

For safes up to 1000 kg, anchoring is mandatory under the European standard EN 1143-1. We carry out this anchoring carefully, using chemical anchors or adapted solutions depending on the substrate. Where necessary, we use stair climbers and protective materials to safeguard floors, walls and staircases.

The installation is always carried out safely, efficiently and with respect for the building. This guarantees you a professionally executed installation offering the strongest and most durable solution. In 95% of cases, delivery, installation and anchoring are included in the price — at no extra charge.

We do not publish fixed prices online, because the price depends on the security level (burglar-resistant, fire-resistant), the volume and the placement and anchoring options. However, you always receive a clear, detailed tailor-made quotation in advance — including delivery and professional installation, at no extra cost in 95% of cases. There are never any hidden charges with us.

The best safe for your home doesn't exist — the best safe for your situation does. The right choice depends on what you want to protect, where you want to place the safe and how you use it day to day. For everyday items such as jewellery, documents or some cash, a burglar-resistant home safe of a lower security grade is often sufficient; if you also want protection against fire, choose a fire-resistant safe. If you prefer to keep the safe hidden, a wall safe or floor safe is an interesting option. Also pay attention to the insurable value per grade and to professional anchoring, and check whether your insurer has specific requirements. No, not automatically — the two certifications are independent of each other. A [fire-resistant cabinet keeps the internal temperature under control during a fire, but offers no certified resistance against burglary. A fire-resistant safe from our range, on the other hand, is doubly certified: both fire-resistant and burglar-resistant according to EN 1143-1. If you want protection against both fire and theft, choose a model with both certifications — and ask for this explicitly when purchasing.

EN 14450 is a European standard for security cabinets and safes providing a basic level of burglary resistance. The standard distinguishes two levels: security level S1 and security level S2. Unlike EN 1143-1, resistance is not expressed in Resistance Units but the product is classified based on standardised attacks with limited mechanical hand tools.

Security level S1 provides basic protection against opportunistic theft and simple burglary attempts. Security level S2 provides a reinforced basic level compared to S1, but remains clearly below the level of EN 1143-1 Grade 0.

The indicative insurable value is €2,500 in cash or €5,000 in valuables for S1, and €5,000 in cash or €9,000 in valuables for S2 — based on storage in an unattended and unsecured building. Cash and valuables may not be combined.
