Chubbsafes Omega Deposit – Basic security deposit safe for daily use

The Chubbsafes Omega Deposit is a practical deposit safe for depositing daily takings quickly and securely. The wide deposit flap is fitted with an anti-fishing device, which prevents contents from being retrieved through the deposit opening.

The construction offers basic burglary protection: the double-walled door features a 10 mm steel door panel, while the body is built from 6 mm sheet steel. Steel bolts with a diameter of 20 mm lock the door on three sides; together with the hook profile on the hinge side, the door is thus locked on four sides. A manganese steel anti-drill plate protects the lock mechanism against manipulation attempts.

Besides daily takings, the Omega Deposit is also suitable for depositing keys — such as car keys at garages, car dealerships or rental companies. Customers or staff deposit the key through the flap, without access to the contents of the safe.

The safe is available with a double-bitted key lock or an electronic code lock, depending on the intended use. The Omega Deposit is prepared for anchoring to the floor or wall; fixing materials are included. Available in two formats: SZ1 with 24 litres capacity and SZ2 with 48 litres capacity and shelf, each with key lock (K) or electronic code lock (E).

Frequently asked questions

Yes. As standard, our safes are prepared for anchoring through holes in the base and — depending on the model — in the back wall. If this does not suit your situation, for example with underfloor heating, a wooden floor or a specific setup, we can provide additional anchoring points where needed. Simply mention this when placing your order: the adaptation is carried out at the factory or in our own workshop, without compromising the safe's certification. We then take care of the delivery, installation and anchoring ourselves.

Both types are found on compact, untested deposit safes — an affordable solution for setting aside daily takings during the day. The difference lies in the opening.

A deposit slot, as on the Technomax Trony, is a narrow opening for banknotes and envelopes. Its small size makes the contents hard to reach, and since a slot has no moving parts, there is little that can wear or break. A slot can often also be fitted to a regular safe — keep in mind, however, that the safe's certification is then voided. Coin rolls or thicker bundles will not fit through a slot.

A deposit flap, as on the Salvus Monopoli, offers a wider opening: it also accepts coin rolls, envelopes with change or small sealbags. The flap is fitted with an anti-fishing device that makes retrieving the contents more difficult.

In short: for banknotes only, a slot is sufficient; if you also deposit coins or sealbags, a flap is more practical. Please note: both types are not certified, and they offer less protection against fishing out the contents than an EN 1143-2 certified deposit safe such as the Salvus Tivoli or the Robur deposit safes. If the deposited values need to be insured, always choose a certified model.
