Salvus Milano – Burglary- and fire-resistant safe (EN 1143-1 Grade 2, LFS 30)
The Salvus Milano is a burglary- and fire-resistant safe, certified in accordance with the European standard EN 1143-1 Grade 2. Safes and security cabinets of Grade 2 according to EN 1143-1 provide a reliable level of burglary resistance for applications with a low to medium risk profile. The certification confirms that the safe complies with the defined test criteria of this standard.
For fire protection, the Salvus Milano is tested in accordance with EN 15659 – LFS 30. This standard provides 30 minutes of protection for paper documents at temperatures of up to 850 °C and is intended for fire scenarios with a limited fire risk.
The Salvus Milano safe is constructed with a multi-wall structure incorporating a core of Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC). This design contributes to a compact and robust construction, providing effective resistance against burglary attempts. The door is equipped with a three-sided locking system using solid steel bolts and an interlocking profile on the hinge side, rendering attacks on the hinges ineffective.
In the event of a targeted burglary attempt, an automatic passive relocking system is activated, blocking the locking mechanism and preventing further opening. This system operates entirely mechanically and forms an integral part of the safe’s security design.
The Salvus Milano is prepared for anchoring to the floor and rear wall. Depending on the application, the safe can be equipped with EN 1300-certified locks, including double-bitted key locks, mechanical combination locks and electronic keypad locks. Electronic locks can, depending on the type, be supplied with time delay, time window functions and an emergency key. From the Salvus Milano 2 model onwards, combinations of different lock types are possible.
The Salvus Milano is available in multiple sizes and is frequently selected within the EN 1143-1 Grade 2 segment due to its balanced combination of burglary resistance, fire protection and price.
