Certified display safe with burglar-resistant glass
A display safe combines a certified steel cabinet with a door in burglar-resistant laminated glass. You can see what you keep, whether that is hunting rifles, a collection or other valuables, while everything stays locked away. Through De Raat we supply two ranges: the DRS Prisma Vitrina in sleek graphite black, and a range in a wood look or lacquer that looks more like a piece of furniture than a safe.
Every model is certified by ECB·S, from S1 and S2 to EN 14450 up to grade 0 and grade 1 to EN 1143-1. These display safes are not fire tested. If you also need protection against fire, read what sets a fire-resistant safe apart.
DRS Prisma Vitrina
The DRS Prisma Vitrina is certified to grade 0 to EN 1143-1. The cabinet has a multi-walled construction, locks on four sides and has a door with P7B burglar-resistant glass. At the bottom there is a locked inner compartment 200 mm high. As standard the door closes with a double-bit key lock with two keys; an electronic code lock, with or without emergency key, is available as an option. The Prisma Vitrina 0/1 has one shelf and room for nine guns, the 0/2 four shelves and six guns. The colour is graphite black (RAL 9011).
Wood-look display safes: models and classes
In S1 there is the Gabbiano, a narrow cabinet with eight gun holders and a locked inner compartment as standard, and the Condor. In S2 you choose from the Scrigno in two widths, the Principe as a corner model, the Regina, the Allodola, the Dragone and the Dragone Vetrina. Both Dragone models have double doors. The Allodola and the Dragone Vetrina also have glass in the side walls.
In grade 0 there is the Cicogna in two widths and the Cicogna Vetrina, with glass in the door and in both side walls. The Cicogna Strong, also in two widths, is certified to grade 1. The dimensions of each model are in the table at the bottom of the page.
Interior: shelves, gun holders or both
In the wood-look range you choose, depending on the model, from three layouts: version A with shelves, version B with gun holders and version E with glass shelves and gun holders combined. The gun holders are made of soft foam, so barrels and stocks are not scratched. They come in wood look, red, beige, green and black.
A soft felt lining covers the back wall and the floor, and on some models the side walls too. You choose green, red, grey, beige or black. An optional inner safe with its own certified lock holds ammunition, documents or accessories; it is standard on the Gabbiano. With LED lighting, the contents stay clearly visible in the evening as well.
Wood look or lacquer finish
The exterior is sublimated: the wood pattern is part of the surface, does not wear and does not fade. You choose from walnut, cherry, briar root, maple and oak, or a lacquer in pure white (RAL 9010) or graphite black (RAL 9011). The Gabbiano is also available in camouflage and sand patterns. The back wall is not sublimated. You also choose the handle: brushed steel, satin gold or in the same wood look as the cabinet.
Lock and locking
In the wood-look range the door locks on four sides, with a hook profile on the hinge side and internal hinges. As standard it closes with a VdS class I key lock with two keys. An electronic code lock is available as an option, with a wood-look, gold or silver surround to match the handle.
Installation and advice
A display safe is tall, fairly shallow and weighs 142 to 534 kg depending on the model. Our own team delivers and installs it and anchors it to the floor and the back wall: without anchoring, the certified resistance class is not guaranteed. Which class you need depends on what you keep and on the risk on site. We look at that together, starting from the indicative amounts below.
