Technomax Gold – Free-standing private safe, Security level S2 (EN 14450)

The Technomax Gold free-standing safe is designed for placement in cabinets, on shelves or other accessible locations, and offers a functional solution for private use in situations with a limited security risk. The GMK, GMD and GMT models are certified according to EN 14450, Security level S2.

The safe has a 5 mm single-walled body and a door and front panel in 10 mm steel, manufactured using laser cutting and fitted with a reinforced profile against lever or prying attacks. Key components of the locking mechanism are protected by a manganese steel anti-drill plate. The front is virtually flat: on the GMK and GMT almost nothing protrudes, and on the GMD only the three code dials (about 10 mm) — convenient for placement in a cabinet, where every centimetre counts.

Depending on the model, the safe is equipped with:

  • a double-bitted key lock (GMK – EN 1300, class A),
  • a double-bitted key lock combined with a mechanical combination lock with three dials (GMD) — the safe only opens with the key when the three dials show the correct code,
  • or an electronic code lock with emergency key (GMT).

The safe is prepared for anchoring through four fixing holes in the base and four in the back wall. The Technomax Gold is the free-standing model; the same series is also available as the Technomax Gold built-in safe for those who prefer a wall safe to be built in. If you are looking for fire protection in addition to burglary resistance, see the Technomax DP. Available in several formats — a reliable choice for an accessible private safe with basic protection.

Frequently asked questions

Atelier Boonen takes care of the delivery, installation and anchoring of safes entirely in-house. We never use external transporters or installers. Using specialised transport equipment, we deliver discreetly and safely, including to upper floors or hard-to-reach locations. Safes are always wrapped in opaque film and transported in unmarked vehicles to avoid curious eyes.

For safes up to 1000 kg, anchoring is mandatory under the European standard EN 1143-1. We carry out this anchoring carefully, using chemical anchors or adapted solutions depending on the substrate. Where necessary, we use stair climbers and protective materials to safeguard floors, walls and staircases.

The installation is always carried out safely, efficiently and with respect for the building. This guarantees you a professionally executed installation offering the strongest and most durable solution. In 95% of cases, delivery, installation and anchoring are included in the price — at no extra charge.

A burglary-resistant safe is a security cabinet specifically designed to withstand burglary attempts. These safes are tested according to the European standard EN 1143-1, which measures resistance against attack methods such as drilling, grinding, prying and thermal tools.
Based on these tests, each safe is assigned a resistance grade:

A safe with a code lock is also known as a digital safe or combination safe. Locking is done by an electronic code lock or a mechanical combination lock. Key-operated safes are also available, as are combinations of both. The right choice depends on your daily use and the security grade of your safe.

From grade 4 onwards, two safe locks are mandatory — a combination of key lock and code lock, or two code locks. For lighter safes, a second lock can be added as an option.

  • Electronic locks: user-friendly, the code is easy to set and change, often with multiple codes, time functions, audit trail and alarm connection.
  • Mechanical locks: the classic mechanical dial lock — extremely reliable and durable, less prone to faults, but slower to operate and more complex when changing the code.
  • Key locks: suitable as an additional lock, but rarely recommended as the only lock.
