DRS Prisma VI – burglary- and fire-resistant safe, EN 1143-1 Grade 6 (ECB·S)
The DRS Prisma VI is ECB·S-certified to EN 1143-1, Grade 6: an exceptionally high level of security, intended for situations where the value or sensitivity of the contents involves an extreme risk profile. The certification confirms that the safe withstands the heaviest mechanical and thermal attack methods. It has also been fire-tested to EN 15659 – LFS 30P: thirty minutes of protection for paper documents, intended for situations with a limited fire risk.
What sets the DRS Prisma VI apart is its size. Grade 6 usually means heavy, bulky safes; this range delivers the same level of security in a compact format, with capacities from 69 to 168 litres. The smallest model, the Prisma VI/0, is currently the smallest Grade 6 safe on the market: ideal where space is limited, but the value to be protected is not.
The body and door are built from multiple walls and fitted with burglary-resistant armouring, with additional protection against drilling, grinding and thermal attack techniques. The door locks on four sides: solid bolts cover three sides, while on the hinge side a hook-in profile engages the body over the full height of the door. An attack on the hinges therefore has no effect on the locking. External hinges allow the door to open to 180°, keeping the entire interior accessible.
Behind the door lies a second line of defence: internal passive relocking systems that activate automatically during a targeted attack and block the locking mechanism. They work entirely mechanically, without power or electronics, and form an integral part of the security construction.
As EN 1143-1 requires for Grade 6, the DRS Prisma VI is fitted as standard with at least two EN 1300-certified Class C locks, with a choice of double-bit key lock, mechanical combination lock, electronic code lock or a combination of these. Electronic locks can optionally be fitted with a time delay or time windows. Inside, the shelves are height-adjustable. The safe is prepared for anchoring to the floor and to the rear wall, so that even a compact model stays firmly in place.
The DRS Prisma VI is available in six models and shares its construction with the DRS Prisma VII. It is aimed at those who want to protect substantial values in a small footprint: jewellers and diamond dealers, the financial sector, professional environments with strict insurance requirements, but equally private individuals with a significant collection.
