How do we anchor safes and fire-resistant cabinets?

Our safes are almost always anchored chemically: a high-tensile threaded rod is bonded into the floor or wall with a two-component mortar, with the diameter and length carefully matched to the substrate. We drill through the floor finish, screed and insulation into the concrete slab, thoroughly clean the borehole and fill it with mortar; after curing, this creates an extremely strong connection — with higher pull-out strength than mechanical plugs. Anchoring is more than just fixing the safe in place: for safes up to 1000 kg it is even mandatory under EN 1143-1, because an unanchored safe can simply be carried away. If the substrate is unsuitable, we provide adapted plinths or mounting constructions. Read more on our delivery, installation and anchoring page.
