What is the difference between a type 30 and a type 90 safety cabinet?

The type indicates how long the cabinet protects its contents during a fire in the room: 30 or 90 minutes, tested to EN 14470-1. During that time, the temperature inside the cabinet must not rise to the point where the stored liquids feed the fire. A type 90 cabinet therefore gives emergency services and staff three times as much time.

The type you need follows from the risk assessment of your workplace. See our safety cabinets for flammable products.
