Yes, but only in a cabinet built for it. There is a difference between simply storing and charging:
- For storage without charging, a fire-resistant battery cabinet such as the Asecos ION-CORE 90 is enough. It protects against a fire from outside and from inside and has a smoke detector with alarm forwarding.
- For charging, you need a charging cabinet, such as the Asecos ION-PRO 90 (version with sockets), ION-ULTRA 90 or ION-CHARGE 90, or the De Raat Batrea. These have sockets in a fire-protected compartment, smoke and temperature sensors and alarm forwarding, and most also have ventilation that removes the heat from charging.
Charge only with the manufacturer's charger, do not charge damaged batteries and remove damaged batteries from the cabinet immediately. See our safety cabinets for batteries.
