Not automatically. A fire-resistant cabinet is designed to keep the internal temperature below a critical threshold in the event of a fire, but offers no certified resistance against burglary. A doubly certified fire-resistant safe, on the other hand, meets both fire and burglary resistance standards according to European norms such as EN 1143-1. At Atelier Boonen, our fire-resistant safes are always doubly certified. If you want protection against both fire and theft, always choose a model carrying both certifications — and verify this explicitly when purchasing.
