Atelier Boonen takes care of the delivery, installation and anchoring of safes entirely in-house. We never use external transporters or installers. Using specialised transport equipment, we deliver discreetly and safely, including to upper floors or hard-to-reach locations. Safes are always wrapped in opaque film and transported in unmarked vehicles to avoid curious eyes.

For safes up to 1000 kg, anchoring is mandatory under the European standard EN 1143-1. We carry out this anchoring carefully, using chemical anchors or adapted solutions depending on the substrate. Where necessary, we use stair climbers and protective materials to safeguard floors, walls and staircases.

The installation is always carried out safely, efficiently and with respect for the building. This guarantees you a professionally executed installation offering the strongest and most durable solution. In 95% of cases, delivery, installation and anchoring are included in the price — at no extra charge.

A safe is a generic term: it may refer to a burglary-resistant model only, or to one that also provides fire resistance.
With us, the term fire safe always refers to a certified fire- and burglary-resistant safe: tested and certified by recognised bodies such as ECB·S, in accordance with current European standards. This way, you can be sure that a fire safe from us always offers double, reliable protection.

The best safe for your home doesn't exist — the best safe for your situation does. The right choice depends on what you want to protect, where you want to place the safe and how you use it day to day. For everyday items such as jewellery, documents or some cash, a burglar-resistant home safe of a lower security grade is often sufficient; if you also want protection against fire, choose a fire-resistant safe. If you prefer to keep the safe hidden, a wall safe or floor safe is an interesting option. Also pay attention to the insurable value per grade and to professional anchoring, and check whether your insurer has specific requirements. No, not automatically — the two certifications are independent of each other. A [fire-resistant cabinet keeps the internal temperature under control during a fire, but offers no certified resistance against burglary. A fire-resistant safe from our range, on the other hand, is doubly certified: both fire-resistant and burglar-resistant according to EN 1143-1. If you want protection against both fire and theft, choose a model with both certifications — and ask for this explicitly when purchasing.

For a business, it is above all the intended use that determines the choice. If you take in cash daily, choose a deposit safe: employees deposit money without opening the safe, optionally with a time delay as extra protection. For contracts, documents or digital media, a fire-resistant cabinet or data safe is the right choice. For higher values, you choose a burglary-resistant safe in a higher grade according to EN 1143-1. Also decide who gets access and when: some electronic locks allow a personal code per employee, and with a time lock you determine at which moments the safe can be opened. If you insure the contents, your insurer will usually require a minimum grade; certain sectors also have specific obligations.
